CTP technology is a hot topic in the printing industry at present. Many domestic printing manufacturers have introduced CTP equipment. Some CTP users' equipment is running at full load, and some users' CTP usage is not satisfactory. A complete CTP system is not just a plate making machine, it includes digital workflow, digital proofing equipment, direct plate making machine and digital printing plate. Plate making machine, proofing equipment and so on are only output equipment, and how they work is completely determined by the digital workflow. traditional rip receives PS files, and the processing process is divided into two parts: PS file interpretation and addition. All kinds of problems encountered in the previous PS process, such as moving and losing words, occurred in the first link, that is, the process of interpretation. To solve this problem, the current process separates these two parts. For example, some processes call the interpretation part rip, which generates a proprietary intermediate format file, and the addition is carried out by the point generator. The files used for the large version of this process are intermediate format files, so it is also called rip post large version, and the process is called one rip multiple output process. Strictly speaking, this process is actually adding a large version before adding, and there are some problems mentioned when talking about digital film. It is not a rip that outputs multiple times

Each output device must process the PDF file separately once, and there is the possibility that the output results of multiple output devices are different

4 compatibility and system integration

at present, almost all printing manufacturers considering CTP projects have pre press production and output departments. These departments may already have workflow and Imagesetter, etc. Some manufacturers already have CTP equipment, and there are still some problems in practical application. They want to change other models. What they are most concerned about is how to combine the new system with the original system, so as to fully protect the existing investment, without multiple processes running, causing confusion in production and management
